Mr Hemp House™ was founded in 2019 by Christopher Penn, father, author, veteran contractor and passionate eco-innovator who saw firsthand how toxic building materials were harming families and destroying the planet. With over two decades in home renovation and disaster relief, Christopher knew there had to be a better way to build and renovate—one that prioritized health, sustainability, and performance. Out of that mission, Mr Hemp House was born.
Today, Mr Hemp House stands at the forefront of the natural building movement, specializing in bio-based materials, like hempcrete and our proprietary GaiaCrete line of carbon-negative, bio-based construction materials. Our systems—including GaiaBloc, GaiaWall Structural Panels, and more— offer unmatched insulation, breathability, fire protection, and environmental impact reduction for both retrofit renovations and new construction.
