Hemp-Lime & Insulation
Breathable, resilient insulation from a renewable source.
Hempcrete, also known as hemp-lime, is a bio-based insulation and wall material made from the woody core of industrial hemp combined with a lime binder. It is vapor-permeable and hygroscopic, and is used in both new construction and deep-energy retrofits.
The Gaia™ Building Systems family includes GaiaCrete™ — a proprietary hempcrete / hemp-lime building-material alternative engineered for healthier, more resilient construction. Additional product information is released as technical documentation is finalized.
