Appendix BL of the IRC defines prescriptive requirements for hemp-lime cast-in-place and pre-cast (block) wall systems — including binder ratios, finish requirements, and structural framing assumptions.
State Adoption Status
Appendix BL is opt-in. States adopt the appendix as part of their residential code cycle. Check your local building department for current status and consult with our team for code-path strategy in non-adopted jurisdictions.
